Excise duty on fuels returned to standard rates from 1st of January 2023 renewing the opportunity to apply for 0,21€ reimbursement for haulers’ consumption of diesel. The relief is addressed to vehicles satisfying, among others, at least the Euro 5 Regulation for as European emission standards.

Said refund is recognized on a quarterly base, mainly, as a fiscal credit to be used for any indirect tax for companies transporting both:

• Goods. of their own propriety or for third parties;

• Passengers, for routs of local or national relevance, within specific agreements.

 

With reference to period from 1st of April to 31st of August 2023 a similar relief will apply to companies supplying – for touristic purposes - coach and bus complying with the Euro 6 Regulation. Companies shall be compliant with the Law 218/2003 regulating the passenger transport activity.
